About the founder
Félix Sención is the CEO and Founder of The Mundial Group, a marketing media company specializing in multimedia publishing in the sports and entertainment industries. The Mundial Group publishes "Fútbol Mundial", "Béisbol Mundial", "Fútbol Mundial USA," "Vida Latina," and "READ Mundial," a literacy initiative for Latino kids.
Mr. Sención is a marketing and advertising-sales professional with 14 years of experience, specializing in the urban and Hispanic marketplace. He has an extensive publishing background, including the development and launch of several targeted publications. Mr. Sención has been able to develop and grow "Fútbol Mundial" into the nation’s largest Spanish-language sports title, both in terms of circulation and revenue.
Prior to founding the Mundial Group, Mr. Sención helped build the Multicultural Department at The New York Daily News, one of the first mass-market newspapers in the country with a division completely dedicated to the growing Latino, Black, and Caribbean markets in the United States.
In 1998, Felix Sención received the Entrepreneur of the Year award from Hispanic Magazine for serving the needs of Hurricane George’s victims through his business contacts with sports and entertainment figures through the Juan Marichal Golf Classic fundraiser in NYC. In 1997 Mr. Sención was named Vice President of the Dominican American Chamber of Commerce, a 25-year-old business organization serving the needs of businesses in the US and the Caribbean with a special focus on NYC and the Dominican Republic.
